Trial Tomorrow

Thanks to Eric Allen for joining us yesterday morning in Hempstead and putting this video together, and thanks to everyone who came out to support us. Sunday, I drove up from DC to Brooklyn with Geoff, Nick, Liz, Paul, Dave, Polly, and Wild Bill to stay with Matthis. After the arraignment, we drove back to DC. Everyone plead not guilty, and were assigned different dates for trial to prevent us from being co-defendents. (Typical divide and conquer.) I am still scheduled to appear tomorrow, so I will be driving back to NYC this afternoon, staying with friends, then back to Hempstead the next morning. Wish me luck!

Hit Appleby's tonight and bring a DD214, photo of yourself in uniform or other proof of military service. You'll get dinner for free! At least somebody out there does Veteran's Day right...

See you tomorrow morning.

Hey Adam - Looks like you had some awesome support yesterday! Good luck today, I'm sure you'll be vindicated. Saw Flobots in Carrboro last night and met another Iraq Veteran Against the war. You're in my thoughts on this Veterans Day, man. Go get 'em.

What is a Marine? 229 years of romping, stomping, hell, death, and destruction. The finest fighting machine the world has ever seen. We were born in a bomb crater my mother was an M16, my father was the devil, and each moment that I live is an additional threat upon your life.

I'm a roughish-looking, roving soldier of the sea. I am cocky, self-centered, overbearing, and I do not know the meaning of fear, for I am fear itself. I am a green amphibious monster made of blood and guts who arose from the sea, whose sole purpose in life is to perpetuate death and destruction on the festering of anti-Americanism throughout the globe, wherever it may arise. And when my time comes, I'll die a glorious death on the battlefield, giving my life to Mom, Apple Pie, and the American flag.

We stole the eagle from the Air Force, the anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army and on the seventh day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the globe, and we've been running the show ever since. We live like soldiers, talk like sailors, and slap the hell out of both of them at the same time.
